DUKE SCIENTIFIC-

REFERENCE PARTICLES

Duke is the leading manufacturer of Certified Particle Size Standard  in the world. Duke Scientific produces more than 150 different diameters of highly uniform spherical particles or “microspheres” all traceable to the Standard Meter, through the (United States) National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). Diameters are ranging from 20 nm to 2000 µm in three different materials: Polymer, Silica and Glass.
Duke Scientific’s Certified Particle Size Standards enable QC laboratories, production and engineering facilities to calibrate their particle sizing and counting instruments, such as electronic en atomic force microscopes, aerosol and liquid particle counters and wafer Surface Scanning Inspection Systems (SSIS). They are also indispensable tools for third party instrument validation for ISO 9000, ISO/DIS 10012, ANSI/NCSL Z540, GMP/GLP and other certification standards and regulations.

Duke Scientific also offers an extensive choice Research and Test Particles  for a wide range of research applications, at choice treated with (fluorescent) dyes.

For Biotechnology and Diagnostic test development, Duke Scientific has the Reagent Microspheres product line. These uniform surfactant-free polymer microspheres with a variety of surface functional groups and bright visual and fluorescent colours are especially designed for attachment of antibodies, proteins, ligands and other biomolecules through adsorption or covalent binding techniques.

FLOW CYTOMETRY MICROSPHERES

PRODUCT OVERVIEW:

CERTIFIED PARTICLE SIZE STANDARDS
  • NANOSPHERE SIZE STANDARDS, Certified, traceable to NIST. Polystyrene. Diameters: 20-900 nm.
  • MONOSIZED MICROSPHERE SIZE STANDARDS Certified, traceable to NIST. Polystyrene. Diameters: 1-1000 µm.
  • SILICA PARTICLE SIZE STANDARDS, inorganic spheres are required. Higher density and better contrast than polystyrene. Diameters: 0.5-1.6 µm.
  • GLASS MICROSPHERES, higher density and better chemical resistance. Better to detect by some detection methods. Diameters: 2–2000 µm.

REAGENT MICROSPHERES,
  • COLOURED AND FLUORESCENT – for Diagnostic test Development. Microspheres with modified surfaces to accommodate covelant binding and hydrophilic adsorption protocols. Specially designed for use in the development of quantitative lateral flow test kits.
  • ACTIVATED SURFACES – for Bioscience Applications. Microspheres with surfaces designed for attaching biological molecules. A wide variety of diameters and four different surface modifications.
